Rapunzel’s Sister - Music Releases
‘Reprise’
Featuring the alluring vocals of Harriet Allcroft and Olivia Chindamo, Reprise is a reinterpretation of ‘Princess of My land’ and contains elements of ‘Dream’.
Eleanor responds in kind to Theo’s "Princess of My Land". In the second section of the song, Laura makes her darker presence felt with echoes of her own feelings for Theo.
‘Princess Of My Land’
(feat. Harrison Craig)
Rapunzel’s Sister’s first single ‘Princess of My Land’, is a medieval love ballad based on a poem from their second book, ‘Rapunzel’s Mother’. Sung by one of the lead characters Theo, who is yearning for Princess Eleanor. He reveals his feelings when she has an accident where her life is in danger.
‘Revenge’
feat Laureana
"Revenge” is a quirky chamber pop song with psychedelic undertones and a dark mix of unrequited love, vengeance, and hope. Inspired by the character, Laura, it is set against a backdrop of strings and creative percussion and features the powerful and unique voice of Olivia Chindamo.
‘Dream for Orchestra and Voice’
Renowned Australian pianist and composer, Joe Chindamo, has embarked on a captivating musical endeavour featuring his daughter Olivia (Laureana), whereby they have reimagined the composition "Dream” for orchestra and voice.
The music video incorporates over 60 original artworks in charcoal and watercolour by Belgian artist, Elena Guzun.
‘Starfly’
for Violins
‘Starfly’ is an exciting new contemporary work for two violins. It is inspired by a mythical creature from the book “Rapunzel’s Heirs” where a nocturnal escapade of fantastical insects are journeying to join forces with other beasts to fight an epic battle, brought to life by violinists Zoe Black and Sarah Curro.
Phantasy
Phantasy is an exciting new contemporary classical work for violin and viola inspired by a scene from the Rapunzel’s Sister trilogy. Deep in reverie, Miri’s imagination unfurls and apparitions from the past appear in the surrounding woodland. Brought to life by Zoe Black and Christopher Moore.
Draevon for String Trio
Inspired by a powerful part-dragon part-raven beast from the Rapunzel’s Sister trilogy, Draevon is scored for a string trio of violin, viola and cello in a contemporary angular style with an array of articulations. Swooping glissandi, predatory pizzicato and chilling harmonics set the scene in a landscape of dread and suspense. Brought to life by Zoe Black, Christopher Moore, and Molly Kadarauch.
Rapunzel’s Mother - Princess of My Land
Our very first first song was adapted from a poem from Rapunzel’s Mother, released in April 2021.
Harrison Craig delivers the song earnestly, as a young man desperately in love. The melody and chords were first written in November 2019. It was interrupted by the pandemic, but fortunately this gave us time to cast these wonderful artists to perform our piece. This otherworldly song depicts the young Theo pining for his beloved Eleanor, transfixed by visions of her as he tumbles into a void of despair.

Rapunzel’s Sister Ballet
Songs by Angie Coffey and Simon Lewis for KSOD
Angie and Simon composed and produced the pieces for the Kew School of Dance (KSOD) from February to July 2019.
Miri’s Dream and Griselda and the Ravens exploded from their imaginations, followed by Sword Fight, Rapunzel’s Tower, Overture, Celebration Waltz and Curtain Call.
These imaginative and dynamic pieces were the inspiration that helped create a story time ballet by KSOD, performed in August 2019.
